Culinarily, it is used in salads, in the mixture for meatballs, in lemonades when fresh is not available and in dips and dressings for salads.

Its medicinal properties are many. It is used as a drink for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It helps with colic and intestinal gas, nausea and vomiting as well as diarrhea. Because of its anti-emetic action, it can also be taken by pregnant women when they face vomiting issues. It is a strong diuretic and diaphoretic and has a positive effect on our nervous system, headaches, migraines, rapid heartbeat and insomnia.

We can either prepare it as a decoction, boiling a few leaves in a mug of water, or as an infusion, leaving a teaspoon of the herb in a glass of hot water for half an hour.
