Equisetto (polygobi)

Equisetto, or polycobi, is a herb that grows throughout the Northern Hemisphere. The appearance of this plant has given it the name "horsetail" and it has been used since ancient times in traditional medicine. It is an herb with a strong diuretic effect and helps against fluid retention. As it is also anti-inflammatory, it helps in cases of kidney infections and protects the urinary tract from infections. It can be used in cases of bronchitis as it has emollient and expectorant properties. It has a high content of minerals and mainly calcium and silicon and thus strengthens bone density, promotes collagen production, thus helping joints, skin, nails and hair. It also helps to protect the brain and strengthen memory. It is hemostatic and healing and protects against swelling and inflammation.

To make a decoction of Equisetto, add a teaspoon of the dried herb to a cup of boiling water and boil for ten minutes.
