Pastitsada Mixture

The pastitsada mixture, otherwise also spetseriko, is a playful, intensely aromatic spice mixture that fits perfectly into the red sauces of all kinds.
It is flavored with cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves and enhances the taste and texture of the red sauce they prepare for traditional Corfu food.
The sauce of this food is traditionally thick and lightly spicy, but does not yield intense or persistent burning.

The mixture contains paprika, cinnamon, cloves, parsley, cumin, nutmeg, allspice and salt.
