Description
An apricot kernel is the seed of an apricot, which is located within the hard endocarp, and together they form the stone or pit. Good source of iron, potassium, and phosphorus and one of the best sources of vitamin B17, so-called amygdalin or letrine. They have been used in Chinese medicine to treat respiratory problems, against indigestion, high pressure, and arthritis.
